EXHIBITS

Studio Exhibit
The studio exhibit gives members the opportunity to share their photographs with members and guests who come into the studio. It brightens the walls and gives everyone an opportunity to see some of the amazing photographs that our members take. It also provides an opportunity to sell their work. It doesn’t matter what type of camera you use to capture your shot i.e., Cell Phone, Point & Shoot, Digital, SLR, Mirrorless, etc. All photographs are welcome as long as they follow the Guidelines for Submission.
The Studio Exhibit Committee is responsible for planning, promoting, acquiring and maintaining a rotating exhibit of photographs provided by club members for a period of time, generally three months. Members are encouraged to provide their favorite photos, including but not limited to those previously displayed in external exhibits, Creative Visions and monthly competitions (winning ribbon NOT required to enter). Why not hang it proudly in The Studio?

External Exhibits
The Photography Club of Sun City has exhibited at locations outside Sun City. These locations include Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head Library and Bluffton Library. Announcements are made via email of any newly planned external exhibits.
Unless noted, there is no theme for the exhibits. Each photo must be framed or on canvas stretched over a frame and must include the standard Club label. Outer dimensions of the frames are usually 16 x 20. Frames must be in good condition with no scratches or marks, etc. with clean glass. The wire on the back should be about a third of the way from the top for hanging. Photos that do not meet these conditions will not by hung.
Information about the exhibit deadlines, and other submission information will be sent to club members several weeks before each exhibit. Club members are responsible for transporting their work to and from the installation site.
